Telia saw its complaint thrown out by Lithuania’s Supreme Administrative Court, ruling rival Bite was not gaining an unfair advantage from acquiring state-owned broadband provider MEZON’s spectrum, CommsUpdate reported.

The complaint was initially [dismissed by the Vilnius Regional Administrative Court](https://developingtelecoms.com/telecom-business/operator-news/10742-telia-s-legal-challenge-to-bite-s-mezon-acquisition-returns-to-court.html) before being picked up by the higher court, which at the time stated the local court had insufficient justification to dismiss the complaint.

Bite revealed its purchase of MEZON for €20 million in December, in which it gained spectrum, network assets, customers and a sales network after gaining approval from the [Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT)](https://developingtelecoms.com/telecom-business/telecom-regulation/10375-lithuania-watchdog-won-t-bark-at-bite.html).

The deal followed Bite's purchase of Telecentras’s internet, data and IPTV operations for €20 million.
